About Us... GD Harries owns six quarries as well as concrete and tarmac plants. We provide stone, concrete and tarmac for construction and highway maintenance projects as well as polished and decorative aggregates for domestic customers.

We are an experienced civil engineering company that delivers multimillion pound infrastructure projects. With 240 employees, we can supply most of the labour as well as the materials in-house, which allows you to keep control of both costs and quality.

We deliver all our products using our specialist fleet of vehicles, which are serviced and maintained in our own VOSA standard onsite workshop. For certain products or locations, we also deliver by sea from our own port at Pembroke Dock.

We are accredited by the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality and Environmental Management Standards. We pride ourselves on our technical expertise, our commitment to safety and sustainability, and the highest levels of quality. We are involved from planning to delivery and are on hand to provide practical solutions to issues as they arise.

Our commitment to sustainability does not stop in-house. We work in partnership with our clients and the whole supply chain to build sustainability into new products, operational efficiency and social performance.

Materials from our quarries are used for vital river and sea defence work. We supply rock armour stone that complies to strictest specifications, together with rip-rap, gabions and walling stone.

River Defence
Our rock armour has been widely specified by the Environment Agency and consulting engineers for river revetment and diversion contracts. In such situations, natural rock is more harmonious with the environment than steel piling and longer lasting than timber. An effective interlock between blocks can be achieved on either a coursed or random joint pattern.
Sea Defence
Rock armour is also used to protect the UK's shorelines as it is extremely durable to the harshest wave power. With a range of sizes available to meet specific requirements, we are major supplier to sea defence projects. Materials can be supplied to meet your specific site requirements.

Aggregates
We have the capability to satisfy most of the region's demand for aggregates including for use in asphalt and concrete. We have supplied major highway works and civil engineering projects requiring the production and delivery of high volumes daily.

We have spent years building our reputation for high quality work. We undertake large and small contracts and are used extensively by local authorities as well as by private industrial and commercial clients.
